Rooted in the Big Island

An organic café, six simple rooms, and a gallery full of local art — all tucked into the rainforest of the Puna district. Come as you are.

Organic Café

Real food,
from real people

We pick up at the Hilo Farmers Market every Wednesday morning and build the week's menu from whatever came home. Coffee is Ka'ū-grown, roasted ten miles away.

No freezer. No shortcuts. Just good island food eaten outside when possible.

A wall of small paintings by Big Island artists
Art Gallery

A hundred small windows,
into island life

Every wall in the café is a rotating showcase of Big Island painters, ceramicists, and printmakers. Nothing sits still for long. Come see what's up this month — or shop the small things at the front counter.
